Hello!

My name is Jacquel Bowman-please call me Jackie-and I'm ever so delighted to be a part of the Love To Scrap! Design Team!!!!!!  I'm a homeschooling mom of 3 children Bianca 14, Brandon 15 and Reginald Jr. 21.  I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years & was introduced to paper crafting 20 years ago.  I discovered rubber stamps 9 years ago via a Stampin' Up! party & signed up a year later....it has been a wonderful 8 year journey!!!  I love sharing my love of stamping/scrapbooking/cardmaking with everyone & I'm really looking forward to sharing my creations with all of you!!!!  Thank you Leslie & my other teammates for inviting me to be a part of your awesome team!!!!!

Welcome Debi!

Hi everyone! I've popped in this morning to introduce our newest DT member, Debi, who will begin creating with us in LTSCB #33, our next challenge that will launch on July 7th! Debi is a super talented designer and we're stoked that she has joined our team! Check out her creations on her blog That Might Look Good on a Card.

Without further ado, heeeeeere's Debi...

Hi!  My name is Debi and I am so excited to be joining the wonderful Design Team here at Love to Scrap.  My DH and I are both retired and live in SE Pennsylvania.  We have 2 grown children, 5 grandchildren and beautiful great granddaughter who was born in February.  I am a very young great-nana!  If you follow my blog, you'll see pictures of Laila now and then.

One Saturday, almost 5 years ago, I went to a local Christmas Bazaar and Craft show.   A woman had the most beautiful display of handmade cards. There was one card in particular, with an origami folded Christmas tree, that I just loved. When I asked the price, she said they weren't for sale but she was having a workshop and I could come and learn how to make all the cards displayed. I quickly discovered not only what a fun hobby stamping is, but I also found a whole group of new friends and wonderful people who love stamping and papercrafting as much as I do. 

Mostly, I make cards with an occasional odd project, especially when my grandsons are here.  I am intrigued by different techniques and folds, love embossing folders and fussy cutting.  Many of my cards are donated to Operation Write Home and Send a Smile 4 Kids. You might find me at an Heirloom or Stamp Scrap Art Tour stamping show teaching the Make n Takes at a friend's CTMH booth, which I thoroughly enjoy.  It's so much fun meeting fellow stampers and exchanging tips and tricks.   I also teach occasional classes for a group of Red Hatters - feathers, bling and tons of fun!  I am currently on the DT at Tuesday Throwdown, and previously served on the DT at Sparkle N Sprinkle.  I also enjoy crocheting and baking, so don't be surprised to see some of those projects on my blog, too.

Welcome Martha & Michelle!

Hi everyone! I made the decision several weeks ago to increase the number of designers on our team, and I'm so happy to introduce you to our two newest DT members, Martha and Michelle! These talented ladies will begin creating with us in LTSCB #31, our next challenge which will launch on June 2nd. Hello everyone! My name is Martha, I'm from Alberta, Canada, I'm married to the love of my life who is very supportive of my very expensive hobby! I have two beautiful babies my son Sebastian and my daughter Trinity. I have dabbled in scrapbooking/card making since I was about sixteen, but I really got serious about it after I had my daughter 15wks early, she was such a miracle that I wanted to document her journey thru the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit. After that I started making very simple cards that would take me hours to make, but the look of pure joy that people give you after receiving a handmade card is worth every second! I bought my first four copics after stumbling upon a beginners copic coloring class while I was shopping at my local scrapbook store....and the rest is as they say history! Hello everyone - lovely to meet you....

I live in Buxton but I am originally from Liverpool.  I moved to Buxton in 2010.
I have an 8 year old son called Brandon and a partner called Col who I have been with for 22 years.
I started crafting about 2007.  I started scrapbooking and then discovered cardmaking and haven't looked back.  Like most crafters though I cross stitched for years before discovering papercrafts.
I'm lucky enough to have my own craft room and under my craft table sleeps my cat Suki who is 21 years old and who is currently luxuriating in this wonderful weather we are having.
I'm really looking forward to working alongside everyone.

Without further ado, here she is...

Hi, Karen McAlpine here, to tell you a little bit about myself.  I have a long crafty history and have been crafting since the age of four.  Over the years, I have enjoyed many crafts including: decoupage, embroidery, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and card making.  I have been making cards for about 15 years. I started out making cards on the computer with a greeting cards software package.  About 8 years ago, I moved on to hand made cards.  I really love the creative scope that comes from stamping.  I feel that each stamp is a little work of art in its own right.  Of course I like to put my own signature style on my projects.  My projects will almost always include lots of layers, a mix of pattern and texture, and fibers of some kind.  Creating my own backgrounds with paint, ink, a Gelli Plate, or stencils has become one of my favorite techniques.  I am not only a card maker, but also a card sender.  I get those cards out in the mail to cheer, encourage, uplift, and spread a little love.  Happy card making!

Welcome Annette!

Hi everyone! I'd like to introduce our new DT member - Annette! She comes to us with some amazing crafting skills and we are very happy she has joined our team! She will begin creating with us in LTSCB #23 that will go live tomorrow morning!

My name is Annette Reed. I am 46 years old. I live in Southeastern Ohio in a small town called McConnelsville in Morgan County. We are a rural area with just a few small towns and no big ones. The town's sign actually calls it a village. McConnelsville is the county seat. The next biggest town is about 28 miles away, but is nothing compared to places like Cincinnati or Cleveland. I work as a school secretary 35 hours a week. My husband's name is Russel (he goes by Russ or Rusty) and he works at the local power plant in Beverly. I have 2 daughters ages 24 & 23 and 2 sons ages 21 & 17. My eldest son joined the Navy last April and we don't see much of him. My youngest son is a senior in high school. My oldest daughter draws for an on-line comic strip and my other daughter works part-time at the Zanesville JC Penney. I have one granddaughter who will be 4 in March and is a great joy to me. I love spending time with her even though she makes me really tired. My time is spent between work, home, and church. My hobbies are reading, card making, and scrapbooking. I watch a lot of movies also. I love to watch movies while I create-although sometimes I end up blocking them out when the creative juices are flowing. I'm thrilled to be the newest member of the Love to Scrap Design Team and look forward to all the good things still to come.

Hello! My name is Shuly.

I’m so excited to be part of Love To Scrap design team, it’s such a huge honour for me! I hope you’ll share some great times scrapping with us in the fabulous challenges coming up.
I’m a 41 year old married mom of 4 little girls aged 7, 5 and 2 years old, the last one is 3 month old. I live in a small village of south east France, in a region called Ardeche.
Life is often hectic at home with babies crying night and day (any magical solution to make them sleep the whole night through welcome by the way) but my husband is very supportive and I do get some time to scrap and knit.
I’m fairly new at card making. It takes me a couple of days to make a card, the most difficult part for me being paper matching. I’m addicted to dies, punches and stamps I just love to learn about how to use them and when I’m down, I find an excellent remedy is watching a video on stamp colouring or die use. I get my inspiration from all the amazing cards on the challenges. So I guess I can thank you all for helping me along!

Newest DT member!

I'm super stoked to introduce to you our newest DT member, Leanne! I was, once again, late-night blog stalking (I told you I was bad about that) and was very fortunate to have found her blog... and even more fortunate to have gotten a "yes" answer to my invitation to join our design team! Leanne is a very talented paper artist and we are so looking forward to her joining our team with our next challenge starting on May 20th! Here's a little something-something Leanne tells us about herself... 

My name is Leanne Elliott and I live in North Central Alberta Canada and have been married almost 20 years to my wonderful husband Brian. Besides the craftiness in my world. I am an Mortgage Specialist Assistant (aka banker), I get to work from home, so with crafting, it works out wonderfully. I started scrapbooking in 2002, and then it turned into card making and other paper crafts. I still do some scrapbooking, but sure do love making cards. I started using Copic Markers a few years ago, and sure enjoyed the art of coloring once again. I love to learn, and sharing my joy in paper crafts, meeting new friends and having fun.

New DT member!

I'm proud to introduce to you, our newest DT member, Brenda! I emailed Brenda last week after silently stalking her blog (I'm bad about that in the evening) to ask her if she'd like to be a member of our design team. I was super stoked when she said yes! Her work is amazing, so be sure to pay her a visit at Brenda's Scrappy Blog and leave her some love!

A little bit about Brenda...

I live in SW Ohio with my husband of 38 years. I have two grown children, one son-in-law, a four year old granddaughter and a grandson who’s just about to have his first birthday.  I work full time as a sales manager for a steel company, and love to spend my free time working away in my craft room.   I’ve been scrapbooking for about 15 years now. I was always the “photo bug” in the family, so when I saw my first Creating Keepsakes show on a QVC Craft Day, I knew I had found the perfect hobby!   Not only is scrapping a creative outlet, but I love knowing that our stories and photos are being saved for future generations.  When I’m not scrapping (or stamping, cardmaking or quilting), I’m usually spending time with my family, playing with the grandkids, or off on a motorcycle trip with DH.  I look forward to getting to know everyone and seeing all your work on the Love to Scrap challenges!


We are very excited to have Brenda on our team and definitely looking forward to creating with her! Welcome aboard, Brenda! ;)
