Thank you for another fun year!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and here's to wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year!

First of all, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who supports our challenge blog and plays in our challenges. Without you all, we wouldn't be here! Thank you for another fun-filled year, and we're looking forward to many more!

Now, I'd like to run a few quick announcements by you so you don't get too lonely this week while we are on break between challenges! LOL! ;)

• Beginning with our next challenge on January 5th, our design team will (once again) vote on our winners! Yay! We are really stoked about this! Winners and top picks will be announced on Wednesday following the end of the challenge.

• I'm sure you've noticed the announcements, but we have four new designers coming on board! You're gonna love what you see! ;)

• We have an A.W.E.S.O.M.E. lineup for 2015 with three sponsors scheduled for most of our challenges, and four sponsors for a couple of them! We also have several blog hops scheduled with some fun prizes! I cannot thank our sponsors enough for their wonderfulness!

• We've discontinued the Guest Designer Spotlight in 2015 as I've increased the number of regular designers to 12.

• Abbreviated Challenge Rules are located on the right sidebar, however, we urge everyone to check out the full Challenge Rules on the top tab so you are familiar with exactly what's required. We want this to be fun for everyone!

Hi everyone! It's Christmas day and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!

I'm back this morning, on the fourth day of our new teammie introductions, to bring you Anne, our newest designer. Anne will begin creating with us in our January 5th challenge also, along with Lillian, Stephanie and Julie, and we can't wait to showcase her projects! She's a very talented lady and we're very happy she's joined our team. Be sure to check out her blog Anne's Scrap Corner to see what she's all about! ;)

So, without further ado, here's Anne...

I am super excited to be a part of the team! A quick bit about me. I live about 30 min outside of Washington DC with my husband of 17 years, 14 yr old daughter Sarah, our two dogs, and Sarah's pony, Ziggy. Most all of whom you will see on my scrapbook layouts, I come from a large family, (4 brothers and sisters, and 13 nieces and nephews) we all live in 15 min of each other and they too are in many of my scrapbook pages! We are in the process of building a new home, hoping to settle sometime in Janurary and move in March. Right about the same time that Sarah has "D" day..... decision day for high school acceptance letters!!!! Needless to say, this DT will be a stress reliever for me and a chance to get away from life for a while! Can't wait to meet everyone!!!!!!!

Along with Lillian and Stephanie, Julie will begin creating with us on January 5th in our first challenge of the new year. We are more than happy that Julie has joined our team! Without further ado, heeeeeere's Julie...

Hi everyone, my name is Julie and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I'm super excited to be joining the Love to Scrap! Design Team. This is my first Design Team and I'm really looking forward to creating with the team and seeing all of your fabulous work in the upcoming challenges.

Over the years I have dabbled in arts and crafts - from art in high school to ceramics and tapestry. I did manage to finish a piece but sewing stuff really isn't my thing.

My entering the world of scrapbooking came when Mum and I attended a beginner's class early in 2011 and it all took off from there. Since then, I've also done Off the Page items, card making and more recently stamping/colouring and mixed media. 

I don't have a particular style when it comes to scrapbooking. However, I do like the photos to be the main focal point and make the paper/embellishments compliment the photo. It's the same with my card making too.

Photography is also another hobby of mine and I love creating layouts as a way to display my photos. The two hobbies go hand in hand perfectly!

Hi everyone! As I mentioned yesterday morning, we have four amazing designers joining our design team in the new year, and I'm back this morning to introduce to you to Stephanie, who comes to us from South Carolina. We are very, very happy that she has agreed to join us! Along with Lillian, Stephanie will begin creating with us in our January 5th challenge. Without further ado, here's our new teammie, Stephanie...

My name is Stephanie and Leslie has so kindly asked me to be a part of the DT.  I am from South Carolina, Married for 31 years and have 2 beautiful daughters and 2 extra cute grandkids!  I have been crafting for 8 years now and still enjoy it everyday.  My husband and I are empty nesters and I stay at home.  I have been watching children in my home for 31 years now and at the moment only take care of Teachers kids.  I have one family right now with 3 children and I watch them part time which leaves me with plenty of time to craft.  In my spare time I love to cook, read, bird watch and exercise.  I look forward to getting to know all on the DT as I am sure there is some crafty tid-bit I can learn from each one of you!

Welcome Lillian!

Hi everyone! I'm proud to announce that we have four new designers joining us in the new year! These talented ladies will begin creating with us on January 5th, our first challenge in 2015, and I'll be stretching those introductions out over the next four days... one a day for four days! How fun is that?! Today I'm very proud to introduce Lillian, who is an uber talented designer, and we are so stoked that she agreed to join us!  I (almost) had to talk her into it! Hahaha! Be sure to check out her blog Lillian's Leisure - we know you'll agree that she's an excellent fit for our team!

Without further ado, here's our new teammie, Lillian...

Hello, all!!  Lillian here, in Michigan, one of the states that actually has four seasons (although during bad winter months, we’d just as soon have only three – haha).  This has been quite the year for me – I made the decision in June to retire early, so August 1^st was my last work day after 34 years in a local heating/cooling company, being office manager, bookkeeper, dispatcher, accounts payable and payroll clerk, and whatever else as the need arose (yeah, Girl Friday – and also Monday, Tuesday, and all the other days of the week).  At this point, I have no qualms whatsoever, as I finally have more time to indulge in my card-making addiction (ahem, I mean hobby),  as it’s just me and my husband, since both our sons are happily married and off on their own.   We have (5) grandchildren and are expecting a brand-new granddaughter any day now – just waiting for the phone to ring with the announcement!

Last month was our 40^th wedding anniversary, and it was also a delightful surprise to be contacted by Leslie with an offer to join the Love To Scrap design team.  After a slew of questions, some arm twisting (haha – just kidding!), some ongoing “do I or don’t I” (well, this IS my first time on a DT and there’s always some trepidation about the unknown),  I decided to “throw caution to the wind” and accept Leslie’s offer, hoping that I won’t be a thorn in everyone’s side. 

So, on that note, I’m a combination of elated, fearful, wonder “what have I done now” (hahaha), but that aside, I AM really tickled to be a part of the Love to Scrap team.  Thank you, Leslie, for your patience, insight and answers to all my myriad questions!   Good to be here . . . and hope you think the same (LOL). Welcome aboard, Lillian! We are so glad you're part of the Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog DT and we're looking forward to lots of fun crafting together!
